Moncton, Monday, November 2, 2015 – Ici Acadie and the CHU Dumont Foundation invite you to take part in Radio-Canada’s Tree of Hope Radiothon on Friday, November 27, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., airing live on Ici Radio-Canada Première from CCNB-Dieppe. Among those taking the stage this year, we note the presence of Zachary Richard who will perform a brand new song!

The Radiothon’s program was unveiled this evening as part of the traditional lighting of the Tree of Hope, just across from the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre. Musical performances, testimonials of hope and inspiring interviews are in store again this year. Hosts Samuel Chiasson and Amélie Gosselin will coordinate this important 10-hour program along with several of their colleagues, including campaign co-chairs Luc LeBlanc and Robert Maillet, of course. Together, they will try to reach the goal of raising $1.7 million.

“Radio-Canada’s Tree of Hope Radiothon is the opportunity to emphasize the hope we collectively have in our hearts. This coming November 27, we will recognize the strength and courage of these thousands of survivors and the lives of loved ones who have sadly lost their battle to this disease. More importantly, we will recognize the determination and generosity of an entire population who believes in the power of hope during the healing process,” says Robert Maillet.

Since the campaign’s beginnings, the artists have always been at the centre of this great celebration and this year is no exception. Many will take the stage. Zachary Richard will perform his new song, Noël D’Amour, which was written specifically for the Tree of Hope. The song can be purchased online at and at participating stores of Distribution Plages’ network. Proceeds will go towards the Campaign.

Annie Blanchard, Caroline Savoie, Daniel Léger, Dany Boudreau, Denis Richard, Dominique Dupuis, George Belliveau, Hert LeBlanc, Isabelle Pelletier, Joannie Benoît, Laurie LeBlanc, Michel Thériault, Nathalie Renault, Pascal Lejeune, Paul Hébert, Raphaël Butler, Roland et Babalou, Roland Gauvin, Ronald Bourgeois and Sandra Lecouteur will also be on hand.

Reports will also be broadcast throughout the day at Ici Radio-Canada Télé.
